Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. He performs great signs and deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the power and signs he was granted to perform in front of the beast and forcing those on earth to make an image of the beast who had been killed by the sword and yet lived. It was given to him to breathe life into the image of the beast so that the beast should both speak and cause those who refused to worship the  beast to be killed. He causes all, small and the great, rich and the poor, free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads so that no one may buy or sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Let he who has wisdom calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.”

I don’t get much into “prophecy”. I’ve personally witnessed too many folks come up with too many completely off-the-wall things, including the recent epidemic of individuals claiming to see images of Jesus and His mother in pieces of toast or taco salads.

Nevertheless, I think there have been a few people who “got it right” over the centuries, and of those none better than the ones trying to survive the first century AD who predicted there would come a time in the future when a power of unspeakable barbarity would rise up and go on the rampage, destroying all that was good.

They had good reasons for suspecting something like this must take place eventually. After all, they personally witnessed what was done to Jesus and His followers by the Jews. They saw what happened when Rome–under the direction of a mad emporer named Nero who converted to Judaism via his Jewish mistress Poppea–did in assisting the synagogue with its mission of eradicating the anti-Judaic message preached and propagated by the hated Jesus of Nazareth. Driven by an insane ideology positing the notion that they as a people are divine in nature and destined to rule the world and given a virtual blank check in exterminating anyone–including entire civilizations if necessary–that frustrate or otherwise complicate the business they envision, it is all-too-understandable why individuals such as John on the island of Patmos would draw up a future scenario as he did.

When all is said and done, putting aside all the cryptic descriptions of a giant beast rising out of the sea, with 7 heads and ten horns and with feet like this creature and a mouth like that creature and whatnot, the fact of the matter is it certainly is the picture of what we see today with regards to the Jewish state. Clearly, as the last half century has proven, if there were ever a singular entity that fitted the description of an absolutely anti-God, anti-human carnivore with no regard for decency or human life it is Jewish power and its physical manifestation known as Israel. One need look no further than what has recently taken place in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Gaza as proof.

What is even more amazing is how modern-day Christianity fits into all this as well. In the book of the Apocalypse describing this future time of unprecedented barbarity, it describes another beast that causes the world to worship the first beast killed by the sword and that helps set up and facilitate a system where all those who refuse to worship this first beast are not permitted to function in society.

Enter one John Hagee and his fellow false prophets, who have made the business of worshipping the Jewish state and her people a religion all its own. Indeed, without their efforts of deluding Christians into worshipping this bloodthirsty creature and suckling it with money, weapons and perpetual war the world would be a very different place altogether.

In a rather interesting email I received yesterday from none other than John Hagee’s website “Christians United For Israel” (found at www.cufi.org) he is pleading for money to “help the Jewish people help the people of Haiti“. And while there is nothing new about Hagee going out and raising money so that Israel can further her bloodshed against the Arabs living there, what was very interesting about this particular plea for money was the following line–

“Thank you for your interest in helping Israel help Haiti. We are asking that you make a contribution of $18 or a multiple thereof to support Israel’s humanitarian efforts in Haiti. This special amount — which symbolizes “life” in Jewish tradition – will be sent directly to one of the Israeli organizations at the forefront of these rescue efforts.“

The “variation thereof” of the number ‘18’ that, according to Hagee has “special significance in Jewish tradition” just so happens to include three 6’s. This, coupled with Israel’s Star of David (nothing more than a collection of sixes) and Jewry’s mad insistenace upon worshipping the 6 million equation associated with the holocaust makes for some very interesting math indeed.

Indeed, let those with wisdom calculate the number of the beast, the number of Israel and of Jewish power, for the sooner the math on this equation is completed the better off all mankind will be.
