وإذا سألك عبادي عنِّي فإنِّي قريب أُجيب دعوة الداع إِذا دعانِي فلْيستجيبواْ لى وليؤمنواْ بى لعلهم يرشدون - البقرة:186

"And When My servants ask you (O Muhammad s.a.w.) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to then by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright [Q2:186]

Invocations for when you meet an adversary or a powerful ruler

اللّهُـمَّ إِنا نَجْـعَلُكَ في نُحـورِهِـم، وَنَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرورِهـمْ

126. Allaahumma 'innaa naj'aluka fee nuhoorihim wa na'oothu bika min shuroorihim.

O Allah , we ask You to restrain them by their necks and we seek refuge in You from their evil.

Reference: Abu Dawud 2/89, and Al-Hakim graded it authentic and Ath-Thahabi agreed 2/142.

اللّهُـمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُـدي، وَأَنْتَ نَصـيري، بِكَ أَجـولُ وَبِكَ أَصـولُ وَبِكَ أُقـاتِل

127. Allaahumma 'Anta 'adhudee, wa 'Anta naseeree, bika 'ajoolu, wa bika 'asoolu, wa bika 'uqaatilu.

O Allah, You are my strength and You are my support. For Your sake I go forth and for Your sake I advance and for Your sake I fight.

حَسْبُـنا اللهُ وَنِعْـمَ الوَكـيل

128. Hasbunallaahu wa ni'amal-wakeel.

Allah is sufficient for us and the best of those on whom to depend.
