7 April 2009 Dr. Basem Naim, the PA health
minister, has affirmed that the Israeli occupation
forces had used ten new kinds of weapons in the war on
Gaza along with internationally banned arms.
Naim, in an interview with the PIC on Sunday, said
that the excessive use of force on the part of the IOF
had led to the killing of 1,450 Palestinians mostly
civilians while 6,000 others were wounded half of them
women and children.
He pointed out that the IOF used three million tons of
ammunition in the war on Gaza at an average of two
tons for each citizen in the Strip, adding that it was
proven that the IOF used internationally banned
weapons such as poisonous gases and white phosphorus.
The minister explained that one of those weapons turns
at its explosion into small pieces that shred whoever
is near it.
He appreciated the efforts by various Arab, regional
and Islamic delegations that ventured into the Gaza
Strip to extend assistance to the Palestinian
citizens.
Naim renewed calls on the Egyptian authority to open
the Rafah border crossing, the closure of which along
with the Israeli siege, he said, caused the death of
dozens of patients.
Naim disclosed that 9000 tons of relief material was
still held in the Egyptian city of Arish as the World
Health Organization said that 60% of this aid had
perished.

countries.
The results displayed that %35 considered Israel
