8 April 2009 Occupied Jerusalem, (PIC)-- The Aqsa
foundation for endowment and heritage revealed Monday
that the Zionist state stole historical blocks of
stone from the Aqsa Mosque and put one of them in
front of the Knesset (parliament) building in occupied
Jerusalem.
The Aqsa foundation explained that the Israeli
occupation authority stole a number of stone blocks
that were put three meters away from the southern wall
of the holy Mosque, adding that it managed to sneak
behind the fence that the IOA established around the
site and found some blocks stripped off their places.
It added that the IOA had pitched a black tent in the
site and prevented anyone from approaching or taking
photographs in order to gradually and secretly commit
its crime.
The foundation pointed out that one of the blocks was
taken to an unknown destination and another was taken
to the Knesset building, adding that the Zionists
could have changed the features of the blocks.
The foundation was able to take photographs of one of
the stolen blocks that was placed outside the Knesset
building.
For his part, Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, the deputy head
of the Islamic Movement in the Palestinian lands
occupied in 1948, stated that Israel is a master at
all kinds of robbery and forgery, where it steals and
loots the Palestinian land, and tries to forge the
Palestinian history.
Sheikh Khatib added that the Zionists try to cover up
the sun with a sieve through stealing Islamic and Arab
antiquities and then claiming they are from the
alleged remains of their temple, asserting that all
excavations and diggings around and under the Aqsa
Mosque carried out by the Zionists did not lead them
to any sign showing that there had been a temple in
the place of the Aqsa Mosque.
In another development, a delegation from the
Jerusalemite popular committee visited on Monday the
area of Umayyad palaces in the southeastern wall of
occupied Jerusalem to witness the violations committed
by Israeli official sides and settlers, the latest of
which was the transfer of a large stone block from its
place in the wall to an unknown location.
The delegation deplored the blatant serial forgery of
Islamic antiquities and the brainwashing of tourists
through alleging that many antiquities date back to
the first and second temples.
Ihab Al-Jallad, a member of the Jerusalemite
committee, told the PIC reporter that a group of
Zionist settlers kept coming to the southern wall of
Jerusalem and slipping rolls into chinks in the wall
while Jewish societies make documentary movies in the
wall area to forge historical facts.
PMRS and PHR reveal Israeli human
rights violations in Gaza war
Meanwhile, the Palestinian medical relief society and
physicians for human rights held Monday a news
conference in the headquarters of the EU parliament in
Brussels to reveal the results of investigations
conducted by an international independent committee
into human rights violations and war crimes committed
by Israel during its war on Gaza.
Dr. Mustafa Al-Barghouthi, a Palestinian lawmaker and
the secretary-general of the national initiative, in
addition to multinational medical delegations from
South Africa, Germany, Denmark and Netherlands
participated in the conference.
The investigations showed 80 war crimes and violations
committed by IOF troops during the Israeli war on Gaza
such as assaults on and wanton killing of civilians,
delaying and preventing evacuation of the wounded,
attacks on emergency medical teams while on duty, and
the use of internationally-banned weapons.
The medical relief society and physicians for human
rights will hold a second news conference Tuesday to
reveal some of the Israeli violations committed in
Gaza.
In another related context, the international
coalition to combat impunity intends to submit new
documents to the international criminal court on war
crimes committed by Israel in Gaza.
Head of the coalition May Al-Khansa said Monday in a
statement to Islam Online that the documents include
UN reports, Israeli officials' statements and
soldiers' confessions.
For this purpose, a delegation of European lawyers
headed by Khansa decided to travel Tuesday to The
Hague in Netherlands, the seat of the international
court.
The delegation will meet a number of the court's
officials to discuss the developments in the complaint
submitted earlier by the coalition about human rights
violations, crimes against humanity, genocidal crimes,
and the blockade on Gaza.
The coalition head pointed out that the new documents
also prove that Israel still commits human rights
violations and crimes against humanity in Gaza, adding
that the coalition intends to complain about the siege
on Gaza as one of the Israeli war crimes.
The coalition accuses 100 Israeli, US and British
political and military figures of participating in the
war crimes in Gaza. |
