Gambian Observer -- The Libyan head of state, His Excellency Muammar El-Ghadafi, leader of the September Revolution, has sent a message to the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, congratulating him on the occasion of his birthday, celebrated on May 25. Ghadafi's message, as received from the Office of the President at State in Banjul, reads: On the occasion of the commemoration of your happy birthday, it pleases me personally and on behalf of the Libyan Arab People of the Great Jamahiriya to extend my heartfelt congratulation and best wishes. I wish you and the sisterly Gambian people continuous health, happiness and increased advancement and prosperity. In a separate dispatch received from State House, writing from Caracas, The Gambia's ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hon. Bala Garba-Jahumpa also extended birthday wishes to the Gambian head of state. His message reads: On my own behalf, the embassy staff and the entire Gambian community resident in Venezuela, we wish to gladly seize this opportunity to wholeheartedly congratulate Your Excellency on your birthday. As a dynamic leader who has always demonstrated to a vigilant world that the welfare of his people is his top priority as evidenced by Your Excellency's unmatched achievements in key sectors such as education, health and agriculture, we can only pray for the Almighty Allah for your continued protection, and health in your crusade to rank The Gambia as the best in the world. Happy birthday and may Your Excellency live to celebrate many more. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration and esteem. Writing from No. 6 Mosque Road, Latrikunda German, Aji Mariama Adu Lette-Sy extended appreciation to President Jammeh on his recent conferment of the award of RGM on her. Her message reads: Your Excellency, I hereby avail myself to take this opportunity to heartily express my profound gratitude to Your Excellency and the able government for the medal of the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (RGM) awarded to me on the 2 may 2009. This manifested the trust, confidence and appreciation you and your government has in me as an entrepreneur and role model for all women in business. I have therefore dedicated the award to my family and all the Gambian women. Sir, I assure you and your government that with your support and that of all my women folks, I will continue to measure up to expectations in ensuring loyalty, honesty, hard work and dedication to you and my mother land, The Gambia. Whilst thanking you once more, please accept the assurances of my highest esteem.
