Yar'Adua, Sultan, Politicians For Mosque N1.5 billion Ilorin Juma'at Mosque Fund Launch

From President Umar Yar'adua, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole , the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III and the 19 Northern governors under the chairmanship of Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State are expected at today's fund raising for the N1.5 billion Ilorin Juma'at Mosque.
As part of efforts to make the ceremony colourful and successful, the Ilorin West Local Government declared yesterday and today, Friday market-free days to allow free flow of traffic to and from the venue of the ceremony.
According to the chairman of the Local Government, Alhaji Toyin Sanusi, the decision of the council to close the market for the two days is to ease vehicular movement before, during and after the ceremony.
He enjoined all indigenes of Ilorin Emirate to be law abiding and follow all traffic rules and regulations that have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free fund raising.
He warned marketers against violating the free market day order as deviants would be fined or have their wares confiscated.
Meanwhile, a statement from the launch committee said business moguls Alhaji Aliko Dangote, they are Muslimi of Yoruba land; Alhaji AbdulAzeez Arisekola Alao and the 19 Northern Governors would be chief launchers at the ceremony.
