Kashmiri Lady Aasiya Harassed In Jail: So-Called World Community Ignores India Oppressions

In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has directed the occupation authorities to shift the Chief of Dukhtaran-e-Milat, Aasiya Andrabi from Amphala Jail Jammu to Central Jail Srinagar. The High Court issued these directives after the puppet administration did not comply with the previous court orders, issued on July 9 to shift her to Srinagar. Aasiya’s counsel, Mian Abdul Qayoom apprised the court that the administration had held the court in contempt by not following it’s orders. He said Aasiya’s health was deteriorating and she was imprisoned with habitual criminals in the jail. “Aasiya is facing harassment in the jail. The Home Commissioner and the Superintendent of the Amphala Jail should be summoned and an explanation be sought from them,” he said. Meanwhile, the High Court quashed the Public Safety Act slapped on Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Naseer and Kaka Poswal directing the authorities to release them. » The Cruel World Turning Blind Eyes On India HR Violation The Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl has urged the international human rights organizations to take cognisance of the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl, chairing a meeting held in connection with the Martyrs Day organized by Kashmir Centre London and All Parties International Kashmir Coordination Committee UK at Youth and Community Centre Slough London, paid rich tributes to Kashmiri martyrs for their pivotal role in the struggle for self-determination. He said that Kashmiris were determined to take their struggle to logical conclusion. He emphasised that the people of Kashmir should be made an integral component of any dialogue enacted for the resolution of Kashmir dispute. The President of Jamaat-e-Isalami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Abdul Rasheed Turabi eulogised the martyr’s sacrifices and demanded the release of veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Yasin Malik and Aasiya Andrabi. President Tahreek-e-Kashmir & APIKCC, Mohammad Ghalib reiterated Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the freedom struggle till its logical end. The Secretary General of APIKCC, Dr. Misfar Hassan stressed on the need to develop an effective strategy for promoting Kashmir cause. The President of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Raja Rauf Ahmed urged British diasporas to play their role in highlighting the Kashmir cause. Secretary Foreign affairs Democratic Freedom Party, Ershad Malik said that the best tribute for the martyrs is to stand united for our cause. Among others Nazir Qureshi Vice President of WKFM, Qurban Hussain Liberal Democrat, Prof Riaz Ahmed Khan, Secretary General JKLF, Raja Mohammad Ayub, Dr Saboor Javeed, a Kashmiri Scientist and Maqsood Ahmed also spoke on the occasion. »
