Somali Government Soldiers Start Military Movements in Beledweyn Town

Beledweyn — The transitional government soldiers in Beledweyn town have started military movements in the east side of the town in Hiran region, witnesses said on Saturday. Residents said that more government soldiers with several battle wagons started military movement in the west parts of the town on Friday evening until early on Saturday morning. Reports say that the government soldiers left from Janta Kundishe Mountain in out of the town pouring into the town and adding that they are patrolling through the streets. People in the region expressed fears about the government soldiers' activities as business centers and the use of the traffic halted when the soldiers started walking through roads in the town. It is unclear the reason of the soldiers military movements and there are no operations that the soldiers conducted in neighborhoods of the town so far. West side of Beledweyn town is controlled by the allied forces of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen and Hisbul Islam. The military movement of the transitional government comes as there are more Ethiopian troops in Kala-beyrka intersection in Hiran region who are making same movements there. Ethiopian Troops Vacate From Balanbal Town Meanwhile, the Ethiopian troops in Balanbal town in Galgudud region have vacated from their bases in whole the region in central Somalia, witnesses said on Saturday. Reports from Balanbal town say that the Ethiopian troops with more armed vehicles moved from all of their bases in the west site of the town early on Saturday morning. Locals said that the troops left from the west side of the town at the first and made bases in the north where they lastly withdrew from whole the region. A resident told Shabelle radio that the Ethiopian troops did not conduct any actions or operations against the people in the region during their presence in the town adding that they left peacefully. Residents in Galgudud region welcomed the move of the Ethiopian troops from Balanbal town saying that they had the fears of the clashes start in the region. It is unclear whether the Ethiopian troops will return to region once against or not. The withdrawal of the Ethiopian troops comes as the transitional government asked a military support from the international community and neighboring countries recently.
