Somali Government Says They Will Root Out the Islamist Forces in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — The transitional federal government official has said on Tuesday that they will root out the Islamist forces fighting against the government soldiers in the Somali capital Mogadishu. Sheik Abdirisak Mohammed Qeyloy, a spokesman of Darawish troops of the TFG told Shabelle radio that the recent fighting between both warring sides was a one which the government experienced the ability of the Islamist forces in Mogadishu adding that they are planning an offensive to clear away them from the capital and the other regions in the country. The government official also said that the government wants to restore the peace and stability of the country adding that they will go to whole parts of the country to solve the problems in the Somalia. The statement of Darawish troops' spokesman of the transitional government Sheik Abdirisak Mohamed Qeyloy comes as there is heavy fighting between Islamist forces and government soldiers in the capital which caused more casualties of deaths and injuries. President Sharif Calls for Aid Agencies to Help Internally Displaced People in Out of the Capital The transitional federal government president Sharif Sheik Ahmed has Monday called for the international aid agencies to help the internally displaced people in the outside of the Somali capital Mogadishu. President Sharif had held a press conference in Mogadishu and called for all the aid agencies to support the Somali people who displace from the capital and reached the outskirts of Mogadishu and some of the regions pointing out that those people need emergency humanity help. On the other hand the TFG president called for the international community to hand over the money that the world promised in conference held in the Belgian capital Brussels to the federal government to give an urgent help to the displaced people in the country. The statement of the TFG president Sharif Sheik Ahmed comes as UN aid agency WFP said it suspended its helping activities in the south and central Somalia for the next two months in over the past few days.
