Fake Pact: Egyptian Brutal Ruling Regime And The Muslim Brotherhood
3 July 2009
The possibility of an agreement between Egypt’s ruling regime and the Muslim Brotherhood has been frequently stated in a handful of local newspapers. Al-Shorouq daily newspaper published in its July 26 and 27 issue on its front page details alluding to these allegations: In response, the Muslim Brotherhood would like to highlight the following: 1. The Islamic Muslim Brotherhood believes that Islam is a comprehensive way of life and an inclusive approach. The movement has, in fact, dealt with society in this way since it was founded by Imam Martyr Hasan al-Banna, in the first quarter of the last century. 2. Since its establishment in 1928, Egyptians were drawn to the Brotherhood as its main objective has been to bring together the religious principles of the holy Qur"an along with the correct concepts of an Islamic approach to society. In this process they could bring forward the optimum method of reform by getting individuals, family, society and consequently government disciplined to cope with the Islamic system and law. This was seen as a threat and discomfort to enemies of Islam such as Jewish Right-winged extremists and their subordinate regimes. 3. The Brotherhood is a moderate reformist movement applying all constitutional and legal methods to its political agenda. The Muslim Brotherhood has always adhered to cooperation with the rest of the nation, declaring that the responsibility for reform is the duty of all Egyptian society. Islamic Law must be the main source of legislation for the nation and foundation for all its authority. Through a peaceful approach, the Brotherhood endeavors to force Egypt"s dictatorial regime to respect the Constitution and law. The movement aspires to achieve justice as well as promoting resistance against all kinds of oppression, persecution, imprisonment and unjustified detention by the successive ruling governments in Egypt and elsewhere. 4. The Muslim Brotherhood waged a justified resistance against the colonists in Egypt and other Arab and Islamic countries. The zenith of this struggle is in Palestine against the IOF and its aggressors, who came from different parts of the world to usurp the land of Arabs and Palestinians. 5. The Muslim Brotherhood has never been pressured by the government or negotiated any critical issue, nor has it backed out on any of its principles since its establishment. The MB will never draw back nor hesitate in the pursuit of its goals of ridding their homeland from the clutches of all foreign colonialism. They will continue to pursue reform and the rehabilitation of the communities and governments restructuring them into righteous Muslim societies by raising the banner of Islam, where the values of justice, freedom and equality prevail. 6. The so-called bargains and deals upon the principles and goals of the MB are, in fact, not included in the doctrine of the Muslim Brotherhood. The movement has not and will not agree upon anything against its morals and beliefs, whatever the price or cost may be. 7. Accordingly, the allegations published in the media over the past few days about an agreement with the government are unfounded and fabricated lies.
On Israeli arrogance, secrecy and the continued oppression of Palestinians All Palestinian factions must firmly unite and band together to overcome the decline and feebleness of Arab regimes towards the successive circuit of the US officials to the region. Moreover, they must confront the criminal IOF occupation of Palestinian land. By virtue of Palestinian alliance and persistence in the resistance it is possible to restore their usurped rights and liberate all occupied Palestinian territories. The Muslim Brotherhood, therefore, affirms the following: 1. Palestinian land is Arab and it will not be liberated by negotiations, or by the misleading path "peace talks" with the Israeli overlords. 2. A One State Solution is the only solution for liberating Palestine. Muslims, Christians and Jews should abide by these conditions. The basis of citizenship should be a priority, no matter how rugged the road and whatever the sacrifices may be. "If ye are suffering hardships, they are suffering similar hardships; but ye have Hope from Allah, while they have none." (An-Nisa’: 104). 3. Leaders of the Palestinian resistance, Hamas and other factions should pursue the path of resistance against the IOF. They must reveal the fallacy of the alleged US attempts to force Arab regimes to humbly deal with the IOF and exert pressure on the Arabs for further acceptance and recognition of the Jewish state in the region.
