Nine Muslim Brotherhoods Detained In Natroun Prison Seven Arrested In Alexandria

Al-Beheira - The Interior Ministry issued an arrest warrant for at least eight members of the Muslim Brotherhood from Al-Beheira who were already held in custody in Case No. 4916 of 2009 after pending investigation in the renowned case known in the media as " Faris Barakat." The Criminal Court of Damanhur had ordered their release on July 26, 2009. The detainees are: Mohammad Al Esawi Mohamed Al-Dhahabi, Mohammad Hassan Al Sayed Abu Hassan, Abdel-Hakim Abdel Raouf Hassan Suleiman, Mohamed Abdel-Hakim Abdul Rashid Abdul Mawed, Abu Fotouh Mohammed Abu al-Yazid Abu al-Fotouh, Emad Mohammed Fathi Abdel-Hafiz, Ahmed Ali Hussein Eid, and Mohamed Hassan Mahmoud Alschawi. They were transferred to the Wadi al-Natrun prison as ordered in the arrest warrant. This is the second MB group of 26 members of the Muslim Brotherhood where a warrant had been issued for their rearrest after the detention of the other eight MB members. The detainees are: Osama Mohamed Ibrahim Suleiman, Hani Mohammed Jaber Al-Bakatoshi, Mahmoud Abdul Nazeer Mohammed Othman, Mohamed Ahmed Abdel-Mawgoud Mohamed, Majdi Zaki Attia Oweda, Mohamed Mamdouh Ali Salman, Ashraf Mohamed Naguib Al-Katib, and Mohamed Abdel Moneim Ibrahim Zeidan. They were sent to Borg Al Arab prison while at least 10 others have been released and their names are: Faris Barakat, Saeed Mabrok Alsayed, Sayed Hasan Salim Al-Bakatoshi, Ali Abdel-Fattah Mohamed Al-Sheika, Aki Anwar Ahmed Nasr, Khaled Mahmud Muligi Ali, Ahmed Hassanein Ahmed Hijazi, Mohammed Mohammed Ismail al-Arian, Ahmed Abdel Fattah Ismail Al-samad, and Ahmed Ali Ghoneim Wehbe. Alexandria: Seven arrests in further crackdowns State Security forces arrested seven members of the Muslim Brotherhood in a pre-dawn raid campaign in Alexandria. Those arrested include: Mohamed Ahmed Refaey Nasser Kamel Dr Tawakol Masoud Ahmed Abd El Atti Mohamed Amin Mamdouh Hussein Abd el All Abd el Ghafar Ahmed Abd el Ghafar Other homes were raided in attempts to arrest more members but none were home at the time. It is expected that they will be questioned later today. On the same note the MB"s lawyer Khalaf Bayoumy will be handing in an appeal on behalf of Refaey Abd el All Refaey challenging the decision of his detention after his arrest before the Israa and Merag Celebrations.
