Somali Islamists Call for Fleeing Somalis Not to Leave From Their Motherland

Kismayu — The Islamic administration of Kismayu town 500 kilometers south of the Somali capital Mogadishu has called for the displacing Somalis entering to the neighboring countries not to leave from their mother country, officials said radio on Sunday. The Islamic administration of Kismayu town in Lower Jubba region said that it is good for the Somali people displacing from the fighting in the country not to move to the neighboring countries calling for the people to remain their motherland. Sheik Hassan Ya'qub Ali, head of the information for the Islamic administration said that there are more Somali people who are fleeing from the fighting in the Somali capital and also others who are fleeing from droughts hit in parts of the country and pouring to the neighboring countries and Europe calling for the people to be in their places and defend from those whom they see as their enemy and against to their economy, political system and country. Asked about how the Islamic administration of Kismayu town welcomes the displacing people of Somalis from the war zone areas in the country, Sheik Hassan Ya'qub Ali replied that they welcome with open hands. The statement of the Islamic administration in Kismayu town comes as hundreds of displaced Somalis cross daily from the border between Somalia and neighboring countries like Kenya which became the only country that most of the people reach where they some times meet intimidations from the Kenyan border guards. Harakat Al-Shabab Mujahideen Conducts Operations Meanwhile, officials said on Sunday that the Islamic administration of Harakat Shabab Mujahideen forces have conducted operations in Jowhar town 90 kilometers in north of the Somali capital Mogadishu. Reports from the town say that the forces of the Islamic administration conducted operations in the west of Jowhar town in Middle Shabelle region detaining several people who were suspected committing insecurity situations in the town. The deputy commander of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen forces in the town said that they arrested more people from the areas they carried out their operations adding that they put them in the prison of the town asserting that they will be brought before the Islamic court in the town. The official said that they will continue their operations in the west of the town to assure the security of whole the town as there had been insecurity in over the past few days. The operations of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen comes as there had been banditry and insecurity situations around the town recently where more drivers traveling through the town met robbing and other banditry action in the region.
