Hiran Region Governor Announces They Are Not Member of TFG

Beledweyn — Sheik Abdirahman Ibrahim Ma'ow, the governor of the transitional government in Hiran region has Monday held press conference in Beledweyn town and announced that they are not member of the transitional government.
Sheik Abdirahman who was the chairman of the Islamic Courts Union joined the transitional government said in his press conference that they totally halted working with the TFG led by president Sharif Sheik Ahmed.
He said they decided to be independent from the transitional government administration in the region after recognizing lack of collaboration from the government officials.
"I have been in the Somali capital Mogadishu for a period and I did not see some thing that is interest or good for the population of Hiran region," the governor said.
Asked about the Ethiopian troops' arrival in the region, Sheik Ma'ow replied that they entered the region as he was in Mogadishu. But said that he knew that only while he came there apologizing the people in the region about killing and robbing actions committed by the government soldiers in the west of the town.
Lastly the governor of Hiran region Sheik Abdirahman Ibrahim Ma'ow said that the management of the region is for the people of the region and the communities in the abroad.
Elders Complain About Helicopters Flying Over Parts of Central Somalia
Meanwhile, the traditional elders in several villages in Mudug region are complaining about helicopters flying over parts of central Somalia with low level, witnesses told local journalists on Sunday.
One of the traditional elders in Gara'ad village in the area where the airplanes revolving told local journalists that they were complaining about helicopters hunting the wild animals of their villages in Mudug region.
"We have great problem with the helicopters those are eliminating our wild animals. These helicopters flied from the war ships in the Somali coast specially Gara'ad village in Mudug region," one of the elders said. The pastoralists have also great problems with the planes, he added.
Lastly the traditional elders of Gara'ad village called for the officials Puntland administration in Galka'o town in Mudug region to solve the problems of the people about the helicopters.
The statement of the elders comes as the foreign naval forces of NATO were hunting the Somali pirates recently in Gara'ad and Hobyo coasts in Somalia.
