Somali Government Officials Say That Some of the Islamist Forces Joined Them

Mogadishu — Ali Ahmed Jama'a Jangali, a foreign minister of the transitional government, has Thursday held a press conference in presidential palace in Mogadishu and said that some of the Islamist forces joined them.
The minister said in his press conference that there are talks between the Islamic organization of Hisbul Islam and the transitional government which he said, were going on secretly, adding that several high officials of the Islamist forces of Hisbul Islam and Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen joined them earlier.
The minister has also talked more about the trip of the transitional government president Sharif Sheik Ahmed in Libya saying that the African Union heads agreed to complete the AMISOM troops in Somalia and change their mandate.
Asked about the Ethiopian troops' entrance in the country, the foreign minister replied that the TFG president had already talked that issue with the neighboring countries adding the government will know more about the reason that the Ethiopians returned back to the country.
Lastly the foreign minister of the transitional government Mr. Jangali said that the trip of president Sharif Sheik Ahmed in Qadar, UAE and libya concluded successfully.
Heavy Shelling Injures About 10 in Mogadishu
Meanwhile, at least 10 people have been injured after heavy shelling started in parts of the Somali capital Mogadishu, witnesses told local journalists on Saturday.
Reports say that some of the mortar shells landed in the neighborhood of 5-ta Ged in Hawl-wadag district in the capital where at least 6 people wounded.
People say there could be other casualties.
Residents in around the areas where mortar shells landed like Bakara market had expressed concern about the heavy weapons started in Mogadishu on Saturday morning.
All the wounded people were civilians and taken the emergency traffic and rushed to hospitals in the capital.
There is no comment about Saturday's shelling in Mogadishu so far as the situation returned normal.
