Somali Government Says The Jailed Immigrants In Libya Were Released

Mogadishu — Abdukadir Mohamed Walayo, a spokesman of the Somali transitional Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharma'arke has Monday said that the jailed Somali immigrants were released from the prisons in Libya.
Mr. Walayo told reporters in Mogadishu that the Somalis in jails of Libya got their freedom as high delegation led Prime Minister Sharma'arke returned home on Sunday saying that the PM had attended the AU summit in Libya which the heads talked more agendas on the currents situations in Somalia and Sudan.
The spokesman said that the delegation of the prime minister had met with the Libyan president Moamar Al Ghadafi and discussed on the situation of the Somali immigrants who were in the prisons of that country.
Abdukadir Walayo also told the reporters that number of the detained Somalis was released from some of the jails in the Libya adding that they were returned back to home country. But he did not discover the number, names and jails that they have been released.
It was recently when 4 detained Somali women gave birth in the Libyan prisons who suffered with lack of health care and the release of the Somali immigrants comes as there had been complains of more Somalis in Libyan jails.
Heavy Fighting With Shelling Kills Five, Injures 31 Others in Mogadishu
Meanwhile, at least 5 people have been have been killed and 31 others have been injured after heavy fighting with shelling between the transitional government backing by AMISOM troops and the Islamist fighters has started in the Somali capital Mogadishu, witnesses told local journalists on Monday.
The fighting started at Dabka intersection in Maka Al-Mukarama Street, a key road that connects between the presidential palace and Km4 junction, a base for AMISOM troops in Mogadishu after the Islamist forces attacked the bases of the allied troops killing 5, wounding 31 others.
I Hassan Fantastic was one of the passengers traveling on Makka Al-mukarama street and witnessed two civilians who were injured in during the fighting.
Most of the people died or wounded in the fighting were civilians and officials of the emergency traffic agency told local journalists that they took more than 10 wounded in more different areas in the capital and rushed to hospital..
The few residents remained in the areas where the fighting broke out in Hodan Hawl-wadag and Waberi districts in Mogadishu started fleeing from their houses as both sides still exchanged heavy gun fire.
The clashes of both the Islamist fighters and the government soldiers backing by AMISOM troops comes as there had been a string of clashes continued in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
