Harakat Shabab Mujahideen Forces Take Over Parts of Beledweyn Town

Baladweyn — The Islamist farces of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen have taken over parts of Beledweyn town in Hiran region, witnesses told local journalists on Sunday.
Reports from the town say that more fighters with armed vehicles had peace peaceful taken over some of the neighborhoods in the west side of Beledweyn town town in central Somalia early on Saturday morning.
Residents in Hawl-wadag neighborhood in the town said that they could see more fighters traveling on the ground while some of them were on board in the armed trucks.
Locals said that there had been clashes between the Islamist forces of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen and the transitional government soldiers that continued a while as the fighters reached parts of the town.
The real casualty of that fighting is unclear so far.
We had contacted with some officials of Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen to know more on the take over of their forces in Beledweyn town. But it was possible for us to get them by the phone.
There is no comment from the official of the transitional government about the take over of parties of Beledweyn town in Hiran region.
Calm Returns to the Capital After Heavy Clashes
Calm has returned to the Somali capital Mogadishu, just after heavy fighting and shelling between the allied troops of AMISOM and transitional government and the Islamist fighters that continued yesterday afternoon.
The situation of the neighborhoods of Hodan district especially Makka Al-mukarama street, Taleh and Tarabunka square where heavy fighting continued on Monday afternoon returned calm on Tuesday morning as the movement of the traffic and people started once again.
More than 6 civilians including a mother and two of her children died in yesterday's clashes as a mortar shell landed their house in Mogadishu.
Reports from health officials and witnesses say that about 35 people were others were wounded in the fighting pointing out that most of the wounded people were civilians.
Tuesday's fighting also affected parts of Shibis district in north of the capital where bitter fighting between the transitional government troops and Islamist forces happened.
More of the few residents remained in the areas of the clashes in the capital could be seen displacing from their houses as they could not tolerate the heavy weapons that both sides use during the fighting.
