Hamas Reveals Israeli-Hezbollah Swap
Deal Proved That Resistance Is A
Strategic Option |
| |
July 17, 2008
The Hamas Movement stated Wednesday that the prisoner swap deal
that took place between the Lebanese resistance and the Israeli
occupation proved that the resistance is the strategic option
for restoring usurped rights and achieving victories.
In a press release received by the PIC, Hamas said that the
Lebanese resistance imposed its honorable conditions in this
deal to make a new victory over the Israeli occupation which had
repeatedly declared that the outcome of the swap deal with the
Lebanese resistance would be disgracing and humiliating to
Israel.
Hamas underlined that this deal refuted the equation of not
releasing those whose hands are "stained with blood" or given
high sentences, which had long been parroted by the Israeli
successive governments.
Hamas held the Israeli government fully responsible for
thwarting the release of its captive soldier Gilad Shalit and
called on it to stop wasting time and procrastinating.
For its part, the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas,
highlighted that the prisoner swap deal achieved by the Lebanese
resistance emphasized the legitimacy of the resistance as an
effective and pioneering option to deal with the Israeli
occupation.
In a press release received by the PIC, the Brigades added that
the resistance proved today that the only language that the
Israeli occupation understands is the language of force and
struggle and that all options of settlement and peace failed to
get one Palestinian released.
The Brigades underscored that the Israeli captive soldier would
never see light unless Israel complied with the just Palestinian
conditions, pointing out that the Israeli occupation leaders
know well that their intransigence and procrastination would
only increase the Palestinian resistance's insistence on its
terms for concluding a prisoner swap deal with them.
The Brigades stressed that the kidnapping of more Israeli
soldiers would remain a preferable option until the release of
last Palestinian prisoner in Israeli jails.
Prisoner-exchange deal big victory for
resistance, Hizbullah
The Hamas Movement on Wednesday said that the ongoing prisoners'
exchange between Lebanese Hibzullah party and Israel was a big
victory for resistance and for Hizbullah.
The Movement in a press release said that the prisoner exchange
deal was a proof that the only way to liberate prisoners from
Israeli jails was kidnapping Israeli soldiers as long as
occupation is adamant on retaining those prisoners in its jails.
Israel's release of Samir Al-Kuntar and his colleagues, who were
serving high sentences, had broken occupation's previous
rejection to free prisoners serving high sentences and made its
former positions "worthless and meaningless".
Hamas assured the Palestinian masses that the day "our prisoners
are freed from occupation prison is coming no doubt", and added
that Hamas was doing all it could to release those serving high
sentences.
The Movement addressed its final words to the family of the
captured soldier Gilad Shalit saying that Israeli premier Ehud "Olmert
was delaying the return of your son to your embraces by refusing
to accept conditions for his release". |
