Offered Recently In English By Our Sheikh To Abuja Muslim
Communities Regarding Constituting Islamic Organizations Upon
Their Call On Our Sheikh For Guidance
In
The Name Of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
TO
THE
ENTIRE MEMBERS OF
'THE ISLAMIC LEAGUE OF NIGERIA'
(Known as The Islamic Youth League of Nigeria or I.Y.L.N and
hereinafter referred to as Ar Rabitah i.e. The League)
Let there be a Majlis Du’at
(i.e. The Mission Board) for Ar Rabitah i.e. ‘The Islamic
League Of Nigeria’ (known as The Islamic Youth League Of
Nigeria) referred to as ‘The Majlis’ - having as the
highest authority of Ar Rabitah in all spiritual, ritual,
educational, propagating, and jurisprudent matters according
to the Qur'an and the Sunnah
Evidences
“And We made from among them, leaders, giving guidance under
Our command, when they were patient and used to believe with
certainty in Our Aayaat.” [Q32:24]
"Allah (s.w.t.) will exalt in degree those of you who
believe, and those who have been granted knowledge"
[Q58:11]
"Allah (s.w.t.) testifies (to the core cause of Islam)
that 'None has the right to be worship but He, and (so do
testify) the angels, and those having knowledge (of the Qur'an
and the Sunnah); maintaining His creation in Justice…"
[Q3:18]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "The example of guidance and
knowledge with which Allah (s.w.t.) has sent me is like
abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile
soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and
grass in abundance. Another portion of it was hard and held
the rainwater, with which Allah (s.w.t.) benefited the people.
They utilised it for drinking, watering their animals and for
irrigation of the land for cultivation. A portion of it was
barren land, which could neither hold the water nor bring
forth vegetation (so that land gave no benefit). The first is
the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion,
obtains benefit (from the knowledge) that Allah (s.w.t.) has
revealed through me (the Prophet (s.a.w.)) and learns and then
teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does
not care for it and does not take Allah (s.w.t.) guidance
revealed through me (he is like that barren land)."
[Reported by al Bukhari in his Book of Knowledge and Muslim in
his Book of Knowledge]
Let The Majlis ud
Du'at be those who produce and promote spiritual, ritual,
educational, propagating, and jurisprudent efficiencies of Ar
Rabitah (The League) with sound knowledge and amiable manners
of Islam
Evidences
"Say: 'This is my way; I invite unto Allah (s.w.t.) with
sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me with sure
knowledge." [Q:12:108]
"Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and fair
preaching (based on sound knowledge), and argue (through sound
knowledge) with them in a way that is better." [Q16:125]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "The world is cursed, and
cursed is all what is in it except with worship and
remembrance of Allah (s.w.t.), and except he who upholds to
the worship of Allah (s.w.t.) and His remembrance or he who
teaches about Allah (s.w.t.) or he who learn about Allah (s.w.t.)."
[Found in narrations of Abu Hurairah reported by at Tirmidhiy
and by Ibn Majah (decleared Hsasan by at Tirmidhiy)]
"When a man die, his actions come to an end, except for
three: ... or knowledge by which people benefit..." said
the Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Reported by Muslim in his Book of Mi`rath]
Let The Majlis ud
Du'at with sound knowledge enjoy respect and dignity as heirs
of the Prophets (a.s) as long as they deliver and live by the
standards
Evidences
"It is only those who have knowledge among His servants
that fear Allah (s.w.t.)." [Q35:28]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Certainly, the Prophets (a.s.)
have not bequeathed Dinar nor Dirham, rather they have
bequeathed knowledge, so whoever takes it has taken abundant
good fortune."
[Authentic Hadith reported by Abu Dawud in his Book of
Knowledge and at Tirimidhiy in his Book of Knowledge]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever Allah (s.w.t.) wishes
good for, He grants him understanding of the religion."
[In Sahih ul Bukhari's Book of Knowledge and Sahih Muslim's
Book of Zakaat]
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at function and operate in strict accordance to the Qur'an
and the Sunnah
Evidences
"Whosoever rules not according to what Allah (s.w.t.) has
sent down…they are the disbelievers…they are the
wrongdoers…they are the transgressors." [Q5:44-47]
"It is not for any believing man or woman, when Allah (s.w.t.)
and His Messenger (s.w.t.) have decided a matter, to have any
choice for themselves in their affairs. For whoever rebels
against Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger (s.w.t.) has gone
astray into manifest error." [Q33:36]
"Mankind were one community and Allah (s.w.t.) sent
Prophets (a.s.) with glad tidings and warnings and with them
He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters
wherein they differed." [Q2:213]
"He who obeys the Messenger (s.w.t.) has indeed obeyed
Allah (s.w.t.)." [Q4:80]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "I have left amongst you two
things. You will not go astray as long as you hold to them:
The Book of Allah (s.w.t.) and the Sunnah of His Messenger (s.w.t.)."
[Authentic Hadith reported by Malik in al Mawwata`, al Hakim
declared Hassan in Albani's al Mishkat and Sahih ul Jami']
Ibn 'Abbas (r.a) said: "Whoever does not rule according
to what Allah (s.w.t.) has sent down in the Qur'an and through
tradition of the Prophet (s.a.w.) has committed a sin of
disbelief".
[See Kishaf ul Qana' and Nail ul Awtar]
Let the Majlis ud Du'at accept
and give absolute verdicts only with evidences from the Qur'an
and the Sunnah (or debatable verdicts with evidences from
Akhbar and Athar of the pious learned predecessors from among
the Prophet’s disciples [as Sahabah], their immediate
followers [at Tabi'in], and/or the followers of their
followers [Tabi'u t Tabi'in], and the pious scholars after
them)
Evidences
"O you who believe! Obey Allah (s.w.t.) and obey the
Messenger (s.w.t.) and those of you who are in authority. If
you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah (s.w.t.)
and His Messenger (s.w.t.), if you believ in Allah (s.w.t.)
and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for
final determination." [Q4:59]
"Or have they partners with Allah (s.w.t.), who have
instituted for them a religion which Allah (s.w.t.) has not
allowed?" [Q42:12]
"But no, by Your Lord, they can have no (real) faith,
until they make you judge in all disputes between them, and
find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, and
submit with the fullest conviction." [Q4:65]
"The answer of the believer, when summoned to Allah (s.w.t.)
and His Messenger (s.w.t.), in order that he (the Prophet (s.w.t.))
may judge between them, is not other than this: they say, 'we
hear and we obey'. It is such as these that will attain
Success. It is those who obey Allah (s.w.t.) and His Messenger
(s.w.t.), and fear Allah (s.w.t.), and keep their duty to Him,
who will triumph." [Q:24:51-52]
“...then whoever follows My Guidance shall neither go
astray, no fall into distress and misery. But whosoever turns
away from My reminder verily, for him is a life of hardship,
and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.”
[Q20:123-124]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) (s.a.w.) said: "Anyone who does an
act which is not in agreement with us (i.e. Allah (s.w.t.) and
His Messenger (s.w.t.)), then must be rejected"
[Reported by Muslim and Bukhari in his Book of as Sulh]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "He who obeys me enters
paradise and he who disobeys me has refused (to enter
paradise)"
[Found in Fatih ul Bari and other sources of al Bukhari's
collections]
Imam Abu Hanifah (r.a.) said: "Anyone that does not know
where (in sources of Islamic tenets) we take our judgement
from is not suitable to accept our verdicts". Abu Hanifah
also said: "When I give verdict contradicting the Book of
Allah (s.w.t.) the Exalted or contradicting what is narrated
from the Messenger (s.a.w.), then ignore my saying."
Imam Malik (r.a.) said: "Truly I am a mortal: (In giving
verdicts on the basis of opinion) I make mistakes (sometimes)
and I am correct (sometimes). Therefore, look into my
opinions: all that agrees with the Book of Allah (s.w.t.) and
the Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.), accept it; and all that
does not agree with the Book of allah (s.w.t.) and the Sunnah
of the Prophet (s.a.w.), ignore it." Malik (r.a.) also
said: "Everyone after the Prophet (s.a.w.) may have his
sayings accepted and rejected - not so the Prophet (s.a.w.)….whoever
rejects the Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) is a Kafir (a
disbeliever)."
Imam Shafi' (r.a.) said: "Whenever I voice my opinion, or
formulate a principle, where something contrary to my view
exist on the authority of the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.),
then the correct view is what the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.)
has said, and it is my view." Sahfi (r.a.) also said:
"The Muslims unanimously agreed that if a Sunnah of the
Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.) is made clear to someone, it is
not permitted for him to leave it for the saying of anyone
else." Another famous statement of Shafi' (r.a.) reads:
"If you see me saying something, and contrary to it is
authentically reported from the Prophet (s.a.w.) then know
that my intelligence has departed."
Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (r.a.) said: "You may not accept
absolutely verdicts based on opinion, but whatever comes from
the Prophet (s.a.w.) of Allah (s.w.t.) and his companions,
take it absolutely." Ibn Hambal (r.a.) also said:
"Whoever rejects a statement of the Messenger of Allah (s.w.t.)
is on the brink of destruction."
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at possess and exercise abundance of sincerity in their
knowledge and actions - entrusting their affairs onto Allah (s.w.t.),
not onto the people of authority or influence
Evidences
“Is it not to Allah (s.w.t.) that sincerity in religion is
due?" [Q39:3]
"My affair I commit to Allah (s.w.t.), for Allah (s.w.t.)
ever looks after His servants. Allah (s.w.t.) then saved him
from every ill that they plotted against him."
[Q40:44-45]
"A great army is gathering against you so fear them. That
only increased them in faith saying: For us Allah (s.w.t.)
suffices and He is the best disposer of affairs. They returned
with grace and bounty from Allah (s.w.t.). No harm ever
touched them." [Q3:173-174]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever acquires knowledge of
things by which Allah's good pleasure is sought, but acquires
it only to get some worldly advantage, he will not experience
the odour of Paradise on the Day of Judgement"
[Musnad of Ahmad 2/338; Ibn Majah's Muqaddamah; al Hakim's al
Mustadrak 1/160; Ibn Abi Shaybah's Musannaf 8/543]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Allah (s.w.t.) does not
accept any action without it being sincerely devoted to Him
and seeking His Pleasure."
[In Hasan Sahih of an Nasa`i No. 2943 (Book of al Jihad 5/25)]
Fudail Ibn 'Iyad pointed: "If you saw someone with
knowledge or a worshiper taking pleasure in their
righteousness being mentioned in front of the people of
authority and influential people of the world, then know that
he is one who is a show-off"
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at strive to maintain a constant nature publicly and
privately, being free from traits of hypocrites - aiding not
the wrongdoers under any circumstances
Evidences
“The hypocrites both men and women, proceed one from
another. They enjoin the wrong and forbid the right and they
withhold their hands (from spending in the cause of Allah (s.w.t.)).
They forget Allah (s.w.t.) so Allah (s.w.t.) has forgotten
them. Lo! The hypocrites, they are the transgressors."
[Q9:67]
“And who is better in speech than him who prays unto his
Lord and does right, and says: Lo! I am of those who surrender
unto Allah as a Muslim” [Q41:33]
"Do not incline to those who do wrong or the fire will
seize you" [Q11:113]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever has the following
characteristics will be a pure hypocrite, and whoever has one
of them will possess a characteristic of hypocrisy until he
gives it up. Whenever he speaks he lies. Whenever he promises
he betrays. Whenever he makes a covenant he proves
treacherous. Whenever he quarrels he is insulting."
[Reported by al Abukhari, Muslim, and an Nasa`i in Book of al
Iman]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever possesses three
things will find the sweetness of `Iman. For Allah (s.w.t.)
and His Messenger (s.w.t.) to be more beloved to him than
anything else. To love a person for Allah's sake alone. To
hate to return to disbelief the way he hates to be thrown into
the fire."
[Reported by al Bukhari and at Tirmidhiy in Book of al `iman]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) also said: "Whoever Allah wishes
good for, He grants him the understanding of the religion, and
I am Qasim (The Distributor) and Allah is Mu’ti (The
Provider), and this Ummah will always remain upon the command
of Allah and those who oppose them will be unable to harm them
until the arrival of the command of Allah (the Day of
Judgement)"
[Reported by al Bukhari in his Book of Knowledge and Muslim in
his Book of Zakah]
'Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud asserted: "Whoever aids a wrongdoer
or taught an oppressor an argument to nullify right of an
ordinary Muslim, had drawn upon himself the anger of Allah (s.w.t.)."
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at aim not at assets of Ar Rabitah nor at assets of
individual members of Ar Rabitah - engrossing not themselves
in concerns at worldly gains against concerns for Hereafter
Evidences
"You received your good things in your worldly life and
you took your gratification out of them." [Q46:20]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever's worries were the
afterlife, Allah (s.w.t.) puts richness in his heart. He
corrects his affairs and the world will be compelled to come
to him. But whoever's greatest worries were the world, Allah (s.w.t.)
puts poorness in front of his eyes. His affairs are put in
disarray, and no worldly gain will come to him except what has
already been written for him"
[Hadith Hasan found in the Book of authenticity of al Albani
reported by at Tirmidhiy in his Abwab uz Zuhd 2/288-289]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) also said: "Be content with what
Allah (s.w.t.) allocates for you from provision and you will
be the richest of people"
[Reported in Book of az Zuhd by at Tirmidhiy, Ahmad 2/310 in,
Ibn Majah No. 4217]
"What is the world compared to the Afterlife except like
one of you was to put his finger in a sea and see how much
water it retains," said the Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Reported by Muslim in Book of al Jannah, at Tirmidhiy in Book
of Zuhd, and Ibn Majah No. 4108]
"If the world meant as much as a wing of a mosquito to
Allah (s.w.t.), he would not have let the non-believers take a
drink of water from it", added the Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Declared in as Sahihat as reported by at Tirmidhiy in Book of
az Zuhd]
The Forth Khalifa of Islam, Ali (r.a.a.) said: "The
Afterlife came approaching; the world passed behind. So be the
people of the Afterlife, not the people of the world. Since
today there is action but no account, but tomorrow there will
be accounting but no opportunity will be there to do any
action."
[Malik Ibn Dinar (r.a.) said: "Whoever proposed to the
world, then the world would not be satisfied until he gave up
all his religion as dowry."]
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at enhance the sanctity of the Muslims and love for them
all goodness
Evidences
"Whoever honours the symbols of Allah (s.w.t.), such is
from the hearts of piety" [Q22:32]
“The good deed and evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil
deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and
you there has been enmity (will become) as though he is a
bosom friend.” [Q41:34]
The Prophet said: “Indeed, the most beloved of you to me and
the closest to me on the Day of Judgement are those with the
best of manners, and the most detestable to me and furthest
away from me on the Day of Judgement are the tharthaarun
(gossip-mongers) and the mustashaddigun (ranters and ravers)
and the mutafaihiqun. His companions said: “O messenger of
Allah (s.t.a.) We know oftharthaarun and the mustashddiqun, so
who are the mutafaihiqun?” He said: “The proud ones.”
[Reported by at Tirmidhiy in the Book of Raham was Silah,
Ahmad in his Musnad, al Baghawi in His Sahih us Sunnah]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Verily your blood, your
wealth is sacred like the sacredness of this day of yours, in
this month of yours, in this city of your"
[The Farewell Speech of the Prophet (s.a.w.) found in Book of
Hajj of Musli and in al Manaasik of Abu Daud]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) also said: "A Muslim is sacred to
another Muslim, his blood, wealth and honour..."
[Reported in Book of az Zuhd by at Tirmidhiy, Ahmad 2/310]
"… Love for people what you love for yourself and you
will be a better Muslim and do not increase in laughter about
people because too much of it kills heart," said the
Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Reported in Book of az Zuhd by at Tirmidhiy, Ahmad 2/310 in,
Ibn Majah No. 4217]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever wishes to be
delivered from the Fire and enter the Paradise should die with
faith in Allah and the Last Day and should treat the people as
he wishes to be treated by them."
[Reported by Muslim in Book of Principality]
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at seek not authority nor long for leadership - avoiding
undermining, ensnarement of, and/or struggling against each
for the sake of recognition or superiority
Evidences
"Say: O Allah (s.w.t.)! Owner of Sovereignty! You give
sovereignty unto whom You will, and You withdraw sovereignty
from who You will. You exalt whom You will and You abase whom
You will. In Your hand is the good. Lo! You are Able to do all
things." [Q3:26]
"…and those whose affairs are a matter of
counsel…" [Q42:38]
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just
witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you
avoid justice.” [Q5:8]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Do not ask for leadership. If
you were given that after your request for it, then you would
be held responsible, but if you were appointed without any
request for it, then you would be aided (to deliver)."
[Reported in Book of al Ahkam of Al Bukhari and Book of Imarah
of Muslim]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) also said: "Indeed you will be eager
for leadership, but regret will follow on the Day of
Resurrection."
[Reported by al Bukhari in his Book of al Ahkam]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Religion is all about "nasihah"
(i.e. advice/sincerity). They asked, "To whom O Messenger
of Allah (s.w.t.)?" He replied: To Allah (s.w.t.), to His
Book, to His Messenger (s.w.t.), to the leaders of the Muslims
and their public."
[Reported by Muslim in Book of `Iman, Abu Daud in Book of al
Adab (Manners), and an Nasa`I in Book of Bai'ah]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "A faithful believer to a
faithful believer is like the bricks of a wall enforcing each
other."
[Reported by Muslim in Book of `Iman, Abu Daud in Book of al
Adab (Manners), and an Nasa`I in Book of Bai'ah]
Muslim Ibn Qutaibah (r.a.) said: "I have met people who
consider leadership as the biggest of tribulations. But today
people are looking for leadership."
Sufyan Ath Thawri (r.a.) observed: "Whoever seeks
leadership before it came to him, it flees from him losing
much goodness." He also said: "Do not seek
leadership except after fighting the soul (against desire and
selfishness) for seventy years."
Ibn Mas'ud (r.a.) said: "Humbleness raises the vile and
arrogance lowers the fine. Whoever seeks leadership it will
tire him but whoever fled from leadership, he is followed by
it."
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at fear their deficiencies in their duties
Evidences
"O you who believe! Fear Allah (s.w.t.) and let every
person look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow."
[Q59:18]
"Do not say about that which your tongues put forth
falsely: 'this is lawful (halal) and this is forbidden (haram)',
so as to invent lies against Allah (s.w.t.). Those who invent
lies about Allah (s.w.t.) will never prosper" [Q16:116]
"Have you seen him who takes his own vain desire as his
ego and Allah (s.w.t.) knowing (him as such) left him
astray" [Q45:23]
“Is he, then to whom the evil of his deeds made fairseeming,
so that he considers it as good? Verily, Allah (s.w.t) sends
astray who He wills, and guides who He wills.” [Q35:8]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Abstain from the forbidden
and you will be the most devout worshipper amongst the
people..."
[Reported in Book of az Zuhd by at Tirmidhiy, Ahmad 2/310 in,
Ibn Majah No. 4217]
The First Khalifah of Islam, Abu Bakr (r.a.a.) screamed:
“Which sky will shade me? And which land will harbour me if
I were to speak about the Book of Allah without sound
knowledge.”
Ibn Mas’ud (r.a.a.) said: “O people! Any one who is
questioned about that which he has knowledge of then let him
speak, and anyone who does not have knowledge then he should
say “Allah knows best”, for certainly from having
knowledge is to say “Allah knows best” regarding that
which you do not know”
Abu Muslims al Khawlani (r.a.) said: "Many people live
amongst the people just with their knowledge, destroying their
soul in vanity and egoism."
Abdur Rahim as Sulami (r.a.) said: "We met people who
learn the Qur'an ten verses being followed by another. They
would not move to another ten without practising the first
ten."
It was said to ash Sha'bi (r.a.), one of the renown and great
scholars of the Ummah: "Deliver your verdict to us O
Scholar!" Ash Sha'bi (r.a.) replied to them, 'Do not call
someone like me a scholar, for the scholar is the one who
humbles his joints from submissive fear of Allah (s.w.t.) and
abstain from showing off'
The Second Khalifah of Islam, Umar Ibn ul Khattab (r.a.a.)
prescribed: "Call yourselves to account before you are
brought to account. Weigh them up before they are weighed, and
prepare for the greatest parade. The Day that you shall be
presented for judgement, not a secret of yours will be
hidden!"
Let the Majlis ud
Du'at work in unity with brotherhood, cooperation, and piety
Evidences
"…However, do cooperate with one another in
righteousness and piety. Cooperate not with one another in sin
and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah (s.w.t.). Lo!
Allah (s.w.t.) is severe in punishment." [Q5:2]
"And verily, those who disputed as regards the Book are
far away in opposition" [Q2:176]
"And be not as those who divided and differed among
themselves after the clear proofs had come to them."
[Q3:105]
The Prophet (s.a.w) said:”If you become jealous, then do not
intend it; and if you become suspicious, then do not seek it
out”
[Fatih al Bari of al Hafiz Ibn Hajar volume 10/213, at Tamhid
of Ibn ‘Abdul Barr volume 6/125, and al Kabir of at
Tabaraniy volume 3/8258]
The Prophet (s.a.w) said:”Pride is ridiculing the truth (out
of self-conceit) and contempt for the people”
[Reported By Muslim in his Book of `Iman]
Let the Majlis ud Du'at enjoin
good and forbid evil in accordance with the Qur’an and the
Sunnah
Evidences
"Let there arise out of you a group of people calling to
goodness, ordering the good and forbidding the evil. They are
the successful." [Q3:104]
"You (the Muslims) are the best nation brought forth for
mankind. You order the good and forbid the people and you
believe in Allah (s.w.t.)." [Q3:110]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Whoever sees an evil then let
him change it with his hand. If it is not possible for him
then, let him change it with his tongues. If he is unable to
do that then let him change it with his heart, and that
(changing with heart) is the weakest of faith."
[Reported by Muslim in Book of `Iman, Tirmidhiy in Book of al
fitan, Abu Daud in Book of Salat ul 'Idain, an Nissa`iy in
Book of al `Iman and Ibn Majah in Book of Fitan No. 4013]
Sufyan ath Thawri (r.a.) was asked, 'should a person order the
good if he knows that the other person will reject it?' He
replied, "Yes so that he is pardoned in the sight of
Allah (s.w.t.) for duing his duty."
Let the Majlis ud Du'at teaches
the Islamic tenets according to their capacities in the
knowledge of the Qur'an and the Sunnah (supported with Akhbar
and Athar of the pious learned predecessors from among the
Prophet’s disciples, their immediate followers, and/or the
followers of their followers, and the pious scholars of
centuries after them)
Evidences
"...That they may gain sound knowledge in
religion..." [Q9:122]
"And remember when Allah (s.w.t.) laid a charge on those
who had been given (knowledge of) the Book (He S.w.t.) said:
You are to expound it to mankind and not to hide it..."
[Q3:187]
The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: "Narrate from me, even if it a
single verse.”
[Reported by Bukhari, Tirmidhiy, and Ahmad in the Book of
Knowledge]
"Allah does not entrust a learned person with knowledge
except to lay a charge on him as He laid charge on the
prophets (a.s.) that they should expound it to mankind and not
hide it”
[Reported by Bukhari, Tirmidhiy, and Ahmad in the Book of
Knowledge]
"Let a man be rightly guided is better for you than the
world and all that is in it”, said the Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Hadith Mi’adh (r.a.a.) as the Prohet (s.a.w.) send him to
Yemen to teach; And of Sahl who witnessed the Prophet
instructing Ali (r.a.a.); reported by Bukhari and Muslim]
"Verily, Allah (s.w.t.) The Exalted be He does bless, and
the angels, as well as those in even and on the earth
including the ants in the holes and fish in the sea do pray
for the one who teaches people about that which is the best to
know (i.e. the Knowledge about Allah (s.w.t.))”, also said
the Prophet (s.a.w.)
[Hadith Abu Amamah reported by Tirmidhiy in his Book of
Knowledge]
Imam Hambali said: “Nothing is equivalent to seeking
knowledge for one whose intention is correct”, it was said:
“How is that? He said: “That he intends with it the
removal of ignorance from himself and from others.”
