At 5:34 a.m. Baghdad time on 20 March 2003 (9:34 p.m., 19 March EST) the military invasion of Iraq began by an invasion force led by America. This was not the first time in history that America attacked a sovereign and independent Islamic country killing innocent civilians it was after the invasion of Afghanistan. America in the name of Operation Iraqi Freedom starting a fierce bombing campaign on March 20th thus killing thousands of innocent Muslims of Iraq and injuring many which till this day are uncountable. It was followed by a longer phase of fighting, in which freedom fighters emerged to oppose the occupying forces and the newly formed Iraqi puppet CIA led government.

On 1 May 2003, President Bush staged a dramatic visit to the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln operating a few miles west of San Diego, California. The visit climaxed at sunset with Bush's now well-known "Mission Accomplished" speech. In this nationally televised speech, delivered before the sailors and airmen on the flight deck, Bush effectively declared victory due to the defeat of Iraq's conventional forces. However, Saddam remained at large and significant pockets of resistance remained.

After the speech few days later Iraqi resistance largely stemmed from Fedayeen started attacks on the invaders of Iraq. The freedom fighters used guerrilla tactics including: mortars, missiles ,martyrdom  attacks, snipers, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), car bombs, small arms fire and RPGs as well as sabotage against the infrastructure used by the occupation forces. As the liberation grew there was a distinct change in targeting from the coalition forces towards the new Puppet Iraqi Security Forces, as hundreds of puppets soldiers and police were killed over the next few months in a series of massive attacks by the Iraqi freedom fighters. Organized freedom fighters with deep roots and Islamist motivation were becoming more powerful throughout Iraq.

The offensive was at its zenith in November 2004 in the bloodiest battle of the war: the Second Battle of Fallujah, described by the U.S. military as "the heaviest urban combat (that they had been involved in) since the battle of Hue City in Vietnam. From that period on wards several CIA controlled so called elections were conducted, puppet governments were installed and private state funded by CIA militias were formed. Thousands of Muslims were killed and injured thousands were jailed in notorious prisons such as Abu Ghraib many atrocities were committed which are on record. The invasion was converted into an offensive by freedom fighters in organized form against the invasion forces of America. 

As the war progressed from its initial invasion phase in 2003 to a nearly decade-long occupation After all the hardships suffered and by giving thousands of lives and injured and jailing of number uncountable facing genocide and ethnic cleansing The Iraqi Muslims at last got a sigh of relief due to the shear pressure of the freedom fighters of Iraq with the reign of George Bush ended already and Barack Obama in the Oval office .The withdrawal of U.S. military forces from Iraq began in June 2009 and was completed by December 2011, bringing an end to the formal invasion. 

Thousands of American soldiers were killed with hundreds of thousand injured and hundreds committed suicides and hundreds in mental asylums.

The economic crisis of America due to financial costs with approximately $612 billion spent the estimated the total cost of the war in Iraq to US taxpayers will be more than $1.9 trillion. Critics have argued that the total cost of the war to the US economy is estimated to be from $3 trillion.

Adverse effect on US-led global "war against Muslim states".

The shameful retreat after a decade of failures even acknowledge by the whole west and American allies. 

The totality of the Bush and Obama's administration's failure in Iraq is stunning. It is not simply that they failed to build the liberal democracy they wanted. It's that they ended up strengthening theocracies they feared. If we look at the current situation of Iraq large chunks of lands are in the control of Iraqi freedom fighters and they now control a territory about the size of Belgium, and the puppet government has lost much of its weapons and supplies armories and their military might to freedom fighters The US bombing recently in Iraq  its own guns perfectly sums up America's total failure in Iraq. When President Obama announced US airstrikes in Iraq US would also be bombing hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of American military equipment. And all this cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives.
