Listen
To Ahmadinejad’s Advice! Tehran’s All Global Issues

There’s new advice for us coming from Tehran and from
the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. It
certainly does deserve to be applied even if it did
come from the head of the Iranian regime, as wisdom is
the aim of the believer! Whilst the Iranian president
was being received by the head of the National
Assembly of Kuwait, Ahmadinejad said that Iran
followed a path of logic and dialogue to solve issues
and highlighted the necessity to solve all global
issues through dialogue and logic. He further
emphasized that the era of [achieving] change by
resorting to threat and force is over, reported the
Iranian news agency, IRNA.
The Iranian president is talking about “all global
issues” needing to be solved through “dialogue and
logic.” Let us then start with the Palestinian cause;
why doesn’t Iran declare its support for the peace
process and refrain from sowing seeds of division,
conflict and strife among the Palestinians by
supporting Hamas in the Gaza Strip and using it to
enforce pressure to serve its own nuclear agenda and
for expansion in the region?
Why doesn’t Ahmadinejad strive towards stopping
Hezbollah’s ongoing rearmament process, which is in
full swing and which might implicate Syria? And why
doesn’t he ask his party in Beirut [Hezbollah] to sit
at the inter-Lebanese dialogue table and prioritize
the interest of the Lebanese state instead of serving
Iranian interests? This would be in accordance with
Ahmadinajad’s advice that calls for solving all global
issues through dialogue and logic, especially as
Hezbollah’s weapons have come to represent a sword
hanging over the Lebanese and dominating
decision-making in the Lebanese state which must
engage in dialogue according to the logic for which
Ahmadinejad is calling.
In addition to all of the above, Tehran must declare
its blessing and support of the Syrian-Israeli
negotiations based on Ahmadinejad’s advice that all
global issues should be solved through dialogue and
logic. As a result, it would ensure that the Syrians
get back the Golan Heights so that Syria can devote
itself to building itself and its economy and its
people most importantly who deserve a great deal
instead of [remaining in] the state of no war and no
peace, which Syria is [currently] experiencing.
Have we forgotten about Iraq? Of course not! Why
doesn’t Iran leave the Iraqis and their affairs alone
[so that they] solve their problems through the
dialogue and logic that Ahmadinejad calls for instead
strengthening some Iraqi parties in Tehran against
their Iraqi brothers? [Why doesn’t Iran] leave the
fate of Iraq down to its people rather than making
decisions in Tehran, especially as there are reports
indicating that everyday the Iranian forces are
advancing on Iraqi territory. This is what an American
military figure openly stated recently!
It would be useful to mention an incident that
occurred during Ahmadinejad’s visit to Iraq. It was
said that the [Iranian] delegation wanted to meet some
Iraqi academics but the Iraqis responded by saying
that they do not have a list of names of Iraqi
academics. Within a matter of hours they received a
list of names of Iraqi academics and their details
from the Iranian embassy in Baghdad!
Therefore, if Iran took the advice of its own
president with regards to all [the cases mentioned]
above, or just some of them, to solve the world’s
problems through “dialogue and logic” then we, and the
Iranians, would be in a much better state. But one
cannot help but repeat the words of a famous Arab
poet:
To the man who teaches others
Can you teach yourself?
You prescribe medicine to those who are sick and
fatigued
In order to cure them whilst it is you who is sick!
