A Call Of Oneness Of Allah And Unity Among Muslim Ummah From The Mount Arafat

By Al-Ikhwah Al-Mujahidu
In the epoch of ignorance, infidels used to worship idols in the Holy City of
Makkah. There were 360 idols inside the Baitullah (House of Allah) and the
rituals of Hajj revolved around the axis of idolism. Infidels defended their
false beliefs and praised battles of their forefathers from the very premises
of Masjid Al-Haram. When the sacred and great task of conveying the message
of Allah, the Almighty devolved on the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) then
he publicly began to invite people to the worship of Allah, the Almighty.
Infidels were surprisingly asking:
{أَجَعَلَ الْآلِهَةَ إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ} (ص-
۵)
Has he made the gods (all into) one God? This is indeed strange.
(Surah 38, Verse 5)
Majority of Makkahans did not accept the call of Tawheed (unity of Allah, the
Almighty) rather they created hurdles in the way of spreading Islam and the
great leader of Islam was threatened with death.
Islam spread in Madina and most of the people embraced Islam because of the
blessings of the preaching of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). On 13th
year of the Prophet-hood, a group of seventy five believers including two
women arrived in Makkah from Madina to perform rituals of Hajj. They pledged
allegiance to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) near a narrow pass at Oqba
in a night as they were in the middle of Hajj's rituals and promised their
obedience and cooperation. That allegiance is cited in the book of the life
of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) as second Oqba allegiance and was an
important turning point and development in the history of the spreading of
Islam because it paved the way for the migration of the Holy Prophet (peace
be upon him) to Madina and establishment of an independent Islamic state.
On 10th year of migration to Madina, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was
performing rituals of Hajj in a time that one hundred thousand of his
companions were present and none of infidels were available in the caravan of
pilgrims. Only the voice of the dignity, greatness and oneness of Allah, the
Almighty was rising from the Mount Arafat.
Today, believers in Mount Arafat, in the important phase of rituals of Hajj
are demonstrating their strong faith, sacred belief and Islamic unity before
Allah, the Almighty. They are dressed in white uniform and with one voice
moving towards a common goal. They are performing the important rituals of
Hajj in an atmosphere of Muslim brotherhood with respect and honor to each
other without any linguistic, factional or ethnical differences. Black and
white, Arab and non-Arab, rulers and servants, poor and rich all with
unadorned hairs, eyes full of tears, only expressing the oneness, greatness
and dignity of Almighty Allah and praying for the unity and harmony of Mulim
Ummah.
From one hand, the gathering of Muslim Ummah in the Mount Arafat is a sign of
unity of Muslims and on the other hand, it gives an important lesson of
equality and fraternity. Here, Muslim nations do not recognize rivalries,
hatred, prejudice, enmity and discrimination. It portrays a beautiful picture
of the life of heaven where all brothers-in-faith will convey a message of
peace to one another. All are giving the following Islamic slogan
{إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَة}
Believers are brothers.
and pledges that they will implement the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace
be upon him) which he delivered in Hajj ulwida (last Hajj of the Prophet
(peace be upon him))
[إنَّ دماءَكم وأموالَكم وأعراضَكم عليْكُم حرامٌ، كحُرمةِ يومِكم هذا، في
بلدكم هذا في شَهرِكم هذا] (رواه البخاري]
''Verily! Your blood, property and honor are sacred to one another (i.e.
Muslims) like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours and
in this city of yours''
Getting inspiration from huge gathering at Mount Arafat, Islamic Emirate of
Afghanistan invites all Muslim of the world to unity and harmony because the
secret of strength, dignity and success of Muslim Ummah lies in unity.
Similarly, the success or failure of a small society, an organization, a
nation or a government takes root from their unity or disintegration.
Therefore, the esteemed leader of the Islamic Emirate Mullah Akhtar Mohammad
Mansoor (may Almighty Allah protect him) in his last message has called upon
all Mujahideen that they should maintain their unity. He considers Islamic
Emirate as a shared home and has invited all to serve Islam and Afghan nation
under the shadow of Islamic Emirate within the current ranks and files of
Jihad.
