The Successes of Operation Azm
17 February 2016By Al-Ikhwah Al-Mujahidun
Since launching the auspicious Operation named ‘Azm' (Resolve) the Mujahideen
have taking great strides in securing large swathes of territory from the
foreign occupiers and their native militias. They have pushed the corrupt
forces of Ashraf Ghani and his foreign backers out of many territories and
replaced that corrupt administration with the Islamic Emirate's governance
services which are inspired and guided by the transparency and accountability
instilled in Islamic Law.
Last year's military Operation differed from the previous ones since in prior
years the Mujahideen limited themselves to conducting guerrilla warfare
revolving around hit-and-run tactics. In Operation Azm however, they expanded
their role by incorporating frontal large scale attacks and counter-attacks in
their tactics.
As a result of these large scale frontal attacks the Mujahideen were able to
grab and hold large territories including provincial districts and even
provincial centers.
The Mujahideen captured the entire districts of Nawa and Khugyani in Ghazni
province. They also captured Jurm, Wardug, and Baharak districts in Badakhshan,
as well as Darqad and Yangi Qala districts in Takhar. In Baghlan they captured
Dushi, Nahreen and many villages and military installations close to Puli
Khumri in the center of the province.
Similarly they captured Konduz city as well as the outlying districts of Dasht
Archi, Chardara, Imam Saheb, Ali abad, Gor Tepa and Tilawak. During these
victories they captured large amounts of military and logistical equipment.
In the south they captured Nawzad, Musa Qala, Sangin, Babaji, and Marja
districts in Helmand. Additionally they captured the suburban areas of many
other districts in this province while leaving the centers in the hands of the
enemy.
In the west they captured Khwaja Musa, Almas, Qisar, Astana Baba districts in
addition to other outlying areas in the province of Faryab. In Badghis they
captured Ghormach and Jwand districts while inflicting heavy losses to the
enemy. In Farah province they completely captured the districts of Bala Baluk,
Gulistan and Khaki Safid as well as many other peripheral areas.
In the center of Afghanistan they captured the districts of Khas Uruzgan,
Charchino, and Dehrawud in Uruzgan province. In addition they also brought
many outlying areas of the province under their control.
Mujahideen were also able to wrest and hold territories in the provinces of
Kandahar, Kunar, Nuristan, Nangarhar, Laghman, Logar, Khost, Paktika, Paktia,
Daykundi as well as other provinces. In all the areas under their control they
removed the shackles of the corrupt Kabul administration and replaced them
with accountable government institutions represented by the white flag of the
Islamic Emirate.
On top of these frontal attacks aimed at holding territory the Mujahideen
continued with their tried methods of insurgent attacks inflicting heavy
financial and human losses to the enemy in Kabul, Parwan, Kandahar and other
areas.
While traditionally winter has brought a lull in the fighting yet the
Mujahideen broke with this tradition as well by extending their operations
well beyond the summer months. The fervor and pace of their fighting has left
the enemy with little respite. Even in these cold months they fear losing
whole provinces to the Mujahideen fighters. We pray to Allah that the coming
months will bring even more victories to the holy warriors blossoming the
flower of the Islamic government over the entire country.
