Statement By The Leadership Council of Islamic Emirate Regarding The Martyrdom of Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour And The Election of The New Leader

الحمد لله الذي بيده ملكوت كل شيء وإليه ترجعون. وإذا قضى أمرا فإنما يقول له كن
فيكون. وله الحمد في السمـوات والأرض وعشيا وحين تظهرون. يخرج الحي من الميت
ويخرج الميت من الحي ويحيي الأرض بعد موتها وكذلك تخرجون. ونشهد أن لا إله إلا
الله وحده لا شريك له ونشهد أن سيدنا محمدا عبده ورسوله الأمين المأمون، والجوهر
المكنون . اللهم فصل وسلم على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه الذين هم فيما عند الله
راغبون وبعد.
قال الله تبارک و تعالی: مَا أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ
وَمَن يُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ۱۱
وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا
عَلَى رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ اللَّهُ لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَعَلَى
اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ )التغابن (12-13
Translation: No calamity befalls, but with the Leave of Allah, and whosoever
believes in Allah, He guides his heart, and Allah is the All-Knower of
everything. Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ), but if you turn
away, then the duty of Our Messenger is only to convey (the Message) clearly.
Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and in
Allah (Alone), therefore, let the believers put their trust. (At-Taghabun, 11
– 13)
We accept and are pleased with Allah SWT as our Lord, and with Islam as our
faith, and with Muhammad PBUH as a Prophet and a Messenger.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with submission to divine providence and
unwavering faith announces that the leader of the Islamic Emirate – Amir ul
Mumineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour (may Allah Almighty accept him) – was
martyred by the American tyrant's unmanned drone aircraft in the border area
between Kandahar's Registan and Balochistan's Nushki on 14 Shaban 1437 Lunar
Hijri (corresponding with 1 Jawza 1395 Solar Hijri), surely to Allah we belong
and to Him we must return.
The Leadership Council of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan forwards to our
sympathizers, Mujahideen, the Afghan nation, the Islamic Ummah and
particularly to the martyred Amir ul Mumineen's bereaved family its deepest
condolences and prays to Allah Almighty for the acceptance of Amir ul
Mumineen's martyrdom and bestowment of Jannat ul Firdous. May Allah Almighty
have mercy on Shaheed Mansour Saheb and give his family, relatives, Mujahideen
and the Islamic Emirate patience, reward and a befitting replacement in this
time of great tragedy. Ameen Ya Rabbal Aalameen
Muslim Brothers!
History bears witness that the Islamic Ummah's virtuous movements have always
been faced with the martyrdom or death of its leaders or other similar
calamities. Yet such afflictions have never shaken the feet of righteous
Muslims and instead have strengthened their faith and with great determination
and strong faith they have continued their righteous campaign.
''And many a Prophet (i.e. many from amongst the Prophets) fought (in Allah's
Cause) and along with him (fought) large bands of religious learned men. But
they never lost heart for that which did befall them in Allah's Way, nor did
they weaken nor degrade themselves. And Allah loves As-Sabirin (the patient
ones).'' (Al Imran :146)
The martyred Amir ul Mumineen (may Allah accept him) was a servant of Allah
and a Mujahid of the righteous path. He fulfilled his responsibilities with
judicious and proud manner and remained steadfast in his determinations till
his last breath. In his brief period of leadership he left examples of faith,
determination and pride which the campaigners of justice and the Mujahideen
will forever recall with pride.
The deceased – despite the difficulties of time and space – refused to submit
to the Global Tyrant's demands and threats, neither did he accept anyone's
imposed or false proposals, nor was he scared of their threats and no foreign
and internal conspiracies and political pressures wavered his determination.
The martyred Mansour Saheb fulfilled the Islamic Emirate's leadership role in
the footsteps of his predecessor Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid (may Allah have
Mercy on him) until – with proud stance, strong faith and complete reliance on
Allah – he met his Lord while in the process of a Jihadi journey.
Since it is a religious duty to install another leader for the Muslims with
the martyrdom or passing away of an Imam or Amir, the Islamic Emirate's
Leadership Council – composed of numerous Islamic scholars, teachers of Quran
and Ahadeeth, righteous politicians and experts of Jihad – called a council of
Ahl Hal wal Aqd and after deep contemplation, thought and consultation elected
the esteemed Sheikhul Hadith Maulawi Haibatullah Akhundzada Saheb as the new
leader of the Islamic Emirate and with full their full consensus the Council
swore its allegiance to him. Similarly the esteemed Alhaj Mullah Sirajjuddin
Haqqani Saheb and the son of the deceased Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Muhammad
Omar, the esteemed Maulawi Muhammad Yaqoub Saheb were elected as his deputies.
The Islamic Emirate's Leadership Council invites all its Mujahideen and our
nation towards unity and trust in Allah Almighty. Mujahideen should feel no
anxiety. Alhamdulillah we have a patronizing Lord. The light of Islam and
Jihad has continued to shine these past fourteen hundred years and will guide
our path till the Day of Judgement. We must give thanks to our Lord that the
Islamic Emirate has a functioning and prosperous governance system. For the
continuity and strength of our Islamic system it is therefore the religious
duty of all Mujahideen to swear their allegiance to the new Amir ul Mumineen,
the esteemed Sheikhul Hadith Maulawi Haibatullah Akhundzada Saheb and continue
their rightful campaign under his leadership.
Similarly the Leadership and the Leadership Council hopes that all the Islamic
Ummah starting from tomorrow – for three days –will fulfill the religious
rites for the martyred Amir ul Mumineen Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour (may
Allah Almighty have mercy on him) by recitations of the Holy Quran.
