For Sure, We Will Grant him a Good Life ~ Abu Shaheed al-Belgiki

On February, 2 2016 The Islamic State's Aleppo based media unit, published a video titled فلنحيينه حياة طيبة

The title is derived from Qur'an: Sura 16. An-Nahl, Aya 97:

مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً

وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, provided he is a believer, We shall surely grant him a new life, a life that is good, and We will certainly reward such people according to the noblest of their deeds in the hereafter.
After a rather lengthy intro (3,5 minutes) Abu Shaheed al-Belgiki describes life in the Islamic State's Caliphate. He calls upon Muslims living in the West to leave for The Islamic State.

Most remarkably the majority of the video is in Dutch, more particularly in an accent originating from the region of Antwerp. This Belgian foreign fighter remains unidentified however. (Note: he was identified as a former citizen of the city of Antwerp, yet, since the federal prosecutor doesn't reveal his name, his identity remains a question)

The first part of the video glorifies living in The Islamic State yet in the last few minutes there is another threat towards the Kufar, the West. He directly threatens France, Russia and The United States but, implicitly, also Belgium is targeted.

This video is both meant to recrute as to inspire. Yet it also points out that all who joined The Islamic State joined a brotherhood, there is no racial dicrimination between Muslims. In conclusion one could say this video is yet another attempt to persuade Muslims worldwide to join the strife of The Islamic State.
