Realities A Year Later: The Late Mullah Muhammad Omar Mujahid (May Allah Have Mercy On Him)
23 August 2016By Shahamat Emarat
It was the same days last year when the Islamic Emirate broke the news about
the passing away of the founder and leader of this movement, the late Mullah
Muhammad Omar Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him). The monumental moment
shocked many ordinary Tulaab (students of knowledge) who had never imagined
such a day but had to grapple with divine predestination.
The news was revealed at a time when the Taliban movement was being tested
from many sides; international pressure seeking to force Taliban to the
negotiation table, scourge of Baghdadi's Daesh who unleashed their Takfiri
(excommunication) ideology and began stabbing the Emirate from behind, split
from the movement by some members who had launched an all-out propaganda war
as well as the media war waged by the international enemy spurring doubts and
confusion.
And as the news of the passing away of the founder of Islamic Emirate came to
surface, it opened the flood gates for people to begin their analysis and
debates about future course the Taliban movement with each individual
foreseeing Taliban demise and becoming part of history books.
From the TV channels of Kabul to the Wall Street Journal and New York Times,
everyone was predicting that the coming year shall see the weakening the
Taliban and its eventual disintegration into tiny armed factions, each vowing
for power and credibility in remote corners of the country.
But as they say, the person whom the Lord Almighty has not finished cannot be
eliminated by humans. Last year was without a doubt an extremely testing year
but all praise belong solely to Allah, the Lord Almighty blessed the
leadership of the Islamic Emirate especially the late Amir Mansoor Sahib (may
Allah have mercy on him) with such strength that they not only kept the ranks
united but also managed to achieve unprecedented internal reform.
The Emirate not only achieved internal unity over the past year but also put
out the fire of Daesh and other rebels such that never shall they raise their
heads ever again. Over this tumultuous period, the Emirate also practically
trained its upcoming generation in the art of passing future tests and the
manner of warfare to be waged against any type of Fitnah (sedition).
Now that a year has passed since that time, let's glance over exactly how the
predictions of the analysts turned out. Did they hold any weight or were they
mere wishful thoughts?
If we were to open the Op-Eds of these newspapers today, all of them would
admit their wrong analysis and throw the entire paper away. Wall Street
Journal in fact published a piece stating that the new leader of the Taliban,
Sheikh Haibatullah Akhundzada, has successfully managed to heal all rifts
within the movement and strengthened its foundations.
The World Post published an article stating that the Taliban area stronger
than they ever were, they have recently taken over areas in Nad Ali of Helmand
and are still advancing.
The article further says that the US has spent $650 billion and its coalition
over $150 billion as well as sacrificing thousands of lives to pacify the
Taliban. However the Taliban have become even bolder and are gaining new
ground every day.
Moreover the Taliban have created a headache for America such as that created
by the Vietcong during the 20th century. American officials have lost their
way in this war and are gambling away all their assets for a mirage.
The successes of Taliban – if compared to the analysis and predictions of the
past year – truly strengthen one's belief in predestination and divine
victory, making it clear that the human mind is incapable of predicting future
course because all world affairs move in accordance to what is written for it
and only that occurs which has already been ordained by Allah Almighty.
The current state of affairs gives further hope to us that Almighty Allah will
successfully pass us through these trials just as we witnessed the affairs
unfold over the past year.
